Frank Frisk: St Clair River Ice Jam has led to 14 commercial vessels waiting for the river system to be opened by Coast Guard Officials. Seven boats in lower Lake Huron downbound and seven commercial vessels in Detroit area waiting to go upbound. When it does open, it will be a boat watchers delight .
Frank has just let me know that "the convoy of ships has begun downbound from Lake Huron" and upbound traffic will start "much later today if they authorize it"
