I just called Champion's Auto Ferry and got this update from David Bryson: The Coast Guard is pulling out tonight. The ferry should be up and operational by noon Tuesday. They will run regular shifts tomorrow until 10pm. The 10pm Tuesday to 6am Wednesday shift will not run so that the ice can better set up. Hopefully Wednesday will be business as usual until possibly through Friday. The Coast Guard said they may be back next weekend, but nothing is for sure right now. I'm asking Sue to post this as I am having computer problems right now. We'll keep you posted.....Melon.
Just heard (thank you Wendie) that Bob Bryson will run the airboat tomorrow morning from 6 AM to 8 AM. If you need to ride the airboat, please get there early as Bob has to shut down by 8 AM. If you show up at 8, you're too late.
